INSTRUCTIONS FOR MOUNTING & USE

Be sure the discs are in the correct position, if not you will have unnecessary wear on the float!

The Mounting is Easy:

  1. Place the float as shown, and tighten the top nut with a wrench. Be sure that the top nut is properly secured.

  2. Each washer has a specific job. Please do not omit any of them or you will be causing unneccessary wear.

  3. Take the small brass valve at the end of the hose and screw it into the bottom of the pump. Use a wrench but please protect the brass rod with a cloth. Scarring the rod will interfere with its function.

  4. The pump is now ready to be used.

Instructions for use:

  • Move the float up and down to check its function.

  • Put the pump in the water.

  • Secure the top to your boat with a rope or chain.

  • Make sure the float is in the center of the rod and has full range of motion.

  • Place the tubing into your boat and down to the bilge.

  • The pump works best on the side toward the rear of the boat. Many attach the pump in the rear. There is plenty of action here but maybe too much. The float needs to move freely to create the suction. Having the pump slammed only shortens its life span.
Be sure the float is at the center of the rod!
